T2 Supplementation: Hope or Hype?

There’s currently little evidence that shows that T2 supplementation is beneficial in humans; the research is still too early to determine. If you’ve been struggling with T4, or a combination of T4 and T3 and have felt good but then relapsed again, I don’t think that T2 supplementation would be the next step. T2 can do a lot of stuff, but T3 can do the same and is also at a higher concentration than we believe T2 is. So what are we seeing? Is it the inability to convert T4 and T3? Or is it when the blood levels of T3 and T4 are optimized with hormone replacement but is the physiology broken? If… 💊 You take T2 and feel great, that’s awesome! 💊 You take T2 and it has minimal impact, it may not be worth the price. 💊 You’re having negative symptoms, you should stop taking T2. Make sure to know that, like most medications, T2 supplementation won’t solve the root issues you’re having, it doesn’t optimize your thyroid physiology, the dose may not be effective, and you can’t take shortcuts to optimizing T4 to T3 conversion. Hormone replacement doesn’t optimize your thyroid physiology; reducing excessive cell stress that’s causing the adaptive down regulation of your metabolism will. Have you supplemented with T2 before?
