Building on research from the PERCEIVE prototype framework, this session explores how hybrid design can foster a "sense of care" by connecting visitors emotionally and intellectually to the risks faced by coloured collections. Through the "Echoes of Loss" and "Tiny Conservators" prototypes, heritage is presented not as a static relic, but as a fragile and irreplaceable resource that requires collective advocacy and engagement. The webinar demonstrates how making scientific processes visible and inviting visitors to "care" for lost polychromy can transform the museum visit.
