Life here moves slowly, but every week brings something beautiful as we build our home and raise our daughter in rural France. Two years ago, we bought an abandoned farmhouse in the south of France with one dream in mind — to create a warm and simple life together as two dads raising our little girl. Now, with the house fully renovated, we’re taking on our biggest challenge yet: transforming the old stone barn into four beautiful apartments. While the work is slow and often unpredictable, the feeling of building something with our own hands never gets old. Between hauling materials, planning the next stages of the renovation, and caring for our daughter, we’re learning to balance family life with the reality of restoring a 200-year-old structure. Every week brings new surprises and new reasons to be grateful. Outside, our vegetable garden keeps giving us more than we ever expected. We’re growing kale, cauliflower, beans, peppers and herbs, working toward a more self-sufficient lifestyle one season at a time. It’s muddy, imperfect, and endlessly rewarding. Watching our daughter grow up surrounded by nature makes every long day worth it.
