ARE FRIENDS ELECTRIC? is supported by the French Institute in Bulgaria, Embassy of the Republic of France and Societe Generale Expressbank. The show will be played on Oct 13 at 19:30 in Boris Hristov House of Culture (Plovdiv / Bulgaria). With ARE FRIENDS ELECTRIC? Yuval Pick touches completely new dimensions of dance creating a powerful and charging performance which is dedicated to the elasticity of space and body. Pick explores the music world of the group Kraftwerk in which he finds many elements that defy his choreographic imagination and inspire him to focus on the dynamic relationship between the individual and the team, the body and the movement. He works with the spatial trajectories of the minuet, which focuses on the continuous coming together and going apart of the partners. Director of The National Choreographic Center of Rillieux-la-Pape since 2011, Yuval Pick has a long career as a choreographer, a performer and a teacher. His repertoire is distinguished by a complex, detailed and multifaceted vocabulary of movement.
