Thank you for listening to “Whom Shall I Fear.” I wrote this as a simple country-gospel worship song inspired by Psalm 27, especially that opening line: “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” -Psalm 27:1 I’ve carried a lot of fear and worry into different seasons of my life, fear about the future, about provision, about whether I’m really walking where God wants me to be. As I was working on this song, I kept coming back to how honest David is in the psalms: he doesn’t pretend the enemies, battles, or dark days aren’t real… but he keeps choosing to trust that God is bigger than all of it. For me, “Whom Shall I Fear” is a way of singing that same truth over this new year. There will be unknowns. There will be valleys. There will be days when my heart feels shaky and small, but: The Lord is my light when I can’t see clearly. The Lord is my salvation when I can’t fix things myself. The Lord is the strength of my life when I feel too tired to keep going. Singing “whom shall I fear?” isn’t pretending I don’t feel afraid, it’s reminding my heart who is with me in the middle of it. I pray this song helps you hand your own fears to the Lord as you step into the days ahead, and remember that you don’t walk into this year alone. If this song blesses you in any way, your support truly means the world to me and my family. ❤️ More psalm-inspired songs, hymns, and country gospel worship moments are on the way. 🙏🤠 #sethavery #worshipmusic #newcountrymusic #countrygospel #countrygospelmusic #newchristianmusic
