(20 Jan 1996) STORYLINE: T/I 10:15:32 The Indonesian military says it has a plan to secure the release of 14 hostages, including six Europeans, from Irian Jaya by Tuesday (23/1) or Wednesday (24/1) without bloodshed, according to the commander of the army's Special Strike Force. The military has set up a command post at Wamena, the town nearest to Mapunduma village where the hostages have been held since January 8. No details of the plan have been given but the strike force commander said it was conveyed to the kidnappers on Friday (19/1).
