Who said you can’t make gyoza at home? Gyoza is a popular Japanese dish that is also known as pot stickers. There are three steps to this recipe: making the filling, wrapping it in gyoza paper, and steam frying. So, put on your apron and enjoy your cook! Ingredients: Gyoza filling oil garlic, crushed ginger, crushed Napa cabbage (rib part and leaf part) ground pork Chinese chives dashi powder soy sauce tapioca starch pepper gyoza wrapper water oil Gyoza sauce red chilies soy sauce sesame oil rice wine vinegar Recipe: Prep the vegetables Making the filling Step 1 - Saute garlic and ginger. Add the rib part of the Napa cabbage first, then, the leaf part. Step 2 - Add Chinese chives to a bowl with the ground pork and combine the sauteed garlic, ginger, and Napa cabbage. Add dashi powder, soy sauce, tapioca starch, pepper, and mix. Assembling the gyoza Step 1 - Put a teaspoonful of the filling in the middle of the wrapper. Fold in half and seal by folding and pinching the edges. Step 2 - In a non-stick frying pan, add 1/2 tablespoon of oil. Arrange about 10-12 pieces of gyoza. Add water. Cover and cook for 6 to 8 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the bottom of the gyoza is crisp. Gyoza sauce In a bowl, add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar, and chopped red chilies. Let the cooking do the talking!
