So, before Metrolink took over this crossing in the early 1990s, this crossing may have had old WRRS/RACO early Safetran from the ATSF in the 60s to early 70s. Those signals might've gotten replaced by four Safetran/WCH signals with the median signals being an addition to the crossing. One day in early 2003, the Santa Ana winds were very aggressive in the early morning which caused the power line to collapse across Batavia St in this area which caused three of the four signals at the time to be completely destroyed, and strucking a car as well waiting for a train to pass. Metrolink had to replace all damage signals with the ones you see today, and the signal that did survive had its original Safetran incandescent lights with the current WCH 1st-Gen/Miller LEDs that the newly signals had. One of the Safetran signals that were replaced originally had a Safetran mechanical bell which meant there were two before the incident. There was now a WCH mechanical bell on the replacement signal. Then, fast forward to around 2010 Metrolink installed the exit signals and pedestrain gates you see today, and crossing became a quiet zone along with the rest of the line. Then, between 2012 and 2014, the remaining Safetran mechanical bell was replaced with an NEG electronic bell. Then, sometime in 2014, the WCH mechanical bell was replaced with the current General Signals Type-2 electronic bell. Other changes such as the gate barriers getting restriped were done as well. And in most recent years, sometime between 2021 and 2022, the NEG e-bell on the left shoulder signal was replaced with the current WCH electronic bell.
