🌿 The Hidden Emotional Side of Our Health Journey 🌿 Health isn’t just about what we eat 🥗 or how often we move 🏃♀️—it’s deeply connected to our emotions, mindset, and the way we treat ourselves. 💭 In this video, Healthy by George explores the emotional layers that shape our overall well-being — from self-doubt and body image struggles to the unspoken fears that often hold us back. 💔 Discover how emotional awareness can transform your approach to wellness. 🧠❤️ When we acknowledge our feelings instead of suppressing them, healing becomes more than physical—it becomes holistic. 🌈 Whether you’re dealing with stress, emotional eating, or the weight of expectations, this video offers gentle insight and encouragement to help you reconnect with your inner strength. 💪✨ Join George as he shares authentic reflections and practical tools to manage emotions that influence our health journey. From compassion and mindfulness to realistic goal-setting, this is your reminder that true wellness starts within. 🌸 Let’s embrace emotional healing, release guilt, and honor our journey—because every step toward self-awareness brings us closer to peace, balance, and genuine vitality. 💫💚 MC shares the challenges of discovering circumstances that bring awareness to situations that can act as triggers or result in a crash, which can hinder our desire to adopt new behaviors and goals towards our health and well-being. A trigger in relationship to health refers to anything—emotional, environmental, or situational—that causes you to eat or behave in a way that doesn't align with your health goals. It often leads to overeating, emotional eating, or impulsively choosing unhealthy foods. 🔹 Types of Diet Triggers 1. Emotional Triggers Stress, anxiety, boredom, sadness, loneliness, or even happiness. Food becomes a coping mechanism or reward. "I had a rough day—I deserve this pizza." 2. Environmental Triggers Seeing or smelling certain foods. Passing by a favorite bakery or fast-food place. Having junk food visible on the counter. "I wasn't even hungry until I saw the cookies on the table." 3. Social Triggers Peer pressure at parties, dinners, or holidays. Feeling rude for saying no to food. Eating more just because others are eating. "Everyone else is having dessert—I don't want to be the only one who isn't." 4. Habitual or Time-Based Triggers Always snacking during TV time. Late-night cravings. Associating certain times or routines with food. "It's 9 PM—time for my usual ice cream."* 5. Diet Mentality Triggers Feeling restricted or deprived by a diet. “All-or-nothing” thinking: one "bad" meal = "I blew it." "I ate a cookie, so I might as well just give up today."* Why Understanding Triggers Matters When you know your health triggers, you can: Respond instead of react. Create strategy actions that support your goals. Build a healthier relationship with food. What is a crash-out? A sudden drop in energy, motivation, or willpower that leads to giving up on healthy habits—often following a period of intense effort, stress, or restriction. 🧠 Common Causes of a Crash Out: Over-Restriction – Diets that are too strict or depriving often lead to burnout or rebellion. All-or-Nothing Mindset – One "bad" choice leads to guilt, then more poor choices. Unrealistic Expectations – Not seeing quick results can cause discouragement and quitting. Stress and Fatigue – Life stressors drain mental energy, and food becomes an easy comfort. Lack of Emotional Coping Tools – Without non-food ways to handle emotions, people crash into old habits. Whether it is a trigger or a crash-out situation, the key is to be aware and let go of judgment about our own health journey. Recognize that we are all doing the very best we can. Consider journaling, taking a walk, or speaking with a therapist to explore these issues and gain a deeper understanding of how to navigate your health journey and support your new choices and goals. 🌿💚 📌 Disclaimer: The views shared here are solely for education and entertainment.
