Bob Groff earned his Masters in Public Administration from Cornell and a dual Masters in Science in Teaching and School Leadership at Pace University. In 2002 he became a NYC Teach for America Corps member after which he co-founded The Active Learning Elementary School (TALES) P.S. 244Q, the first public school in the country to have a completely vegetarian breakfast and lunch program. The school has also been recognized with the Golden Carrot Award from the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. TALES - PS244Q was also recently recognized as the #11 school in New York State based on test scores. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
