#LKK #GWARRIOR G WARRIOR (惑星战士G) is a run-and-gun platform video game developed and published by LKK (Liao Kai) and released on 07/17/2024. This is an indie homage to Contra or, more precisely, the European version - Probotector. At the time of making the video, the game was only released on PC. Plot: Humans have colonized the planet GHANA for hundreds of years. The remains of indigenous peoples have been discovered on this planet. Among the important finds, anomalous relics were of particular interest, the study of which caused the awakening of sinister entities. These entities use wormholes to call upon combat troops to invade. The latter managed to acquire a huge amount of human fighting force in the form of weapons and equipment with the aim of destroying the human population. Observing huge losses among the army of people, the secret headquarters "Force K" (this will be a kind of reference to Contra Force) made an immediate decision to use an elite squad of special forces soldiers in battle. This is how the special project “G - Warrior” was born and the battle for salvation began! As with any Contra game, players take on the role of two super cyborgs on a mission to stop an alien invasion. This time the enemy is a mutated branch of aliens who have learned to use human technology and weapons, which has helped them create their own army of fighting machines. The heroes are transferred by helicopter to the outskirts of a military base (as it was in the original Contra), which is now located in the occupied territory of a human column, where now alien creatures and robots are rampaging everywhere, shooting from firearms and plasma weapons and throwing grenades at everything that moves. The road of the main characters stretches through snow-capped mountains, a hidden bio-breeding ground for aliens, a jungle inhabited by unfriendly creatures, a military base captured by enemies, a space station and the lairs of aliens located outside of time and space! G Warrior is a run-and-gun platformer known for its difficulty. The player character equips himself with a weapon that can fire indefinitely. Throughout the levels, the player can acquire different weapons with new capabilities that shoot at different types of spaces. They can be found either inside sensor pill boxes or in flying capsules. When destroyed, a new weapon will pop up onto the battlefield and can be collected to change the player's weapon. However, the weapon will be lost if the player collides with an enemy or mortal obstacle, it will instantly lose a life. The character can shoot in eight directions and can also crouch. Each character is equipped with his own arsenal of weapons. There are also a couple of secret weapons in the game that can be obtained through secret places (there are 10 secrets in total in the game). The player's health is represented in the form of crystals. An extra life can be earned by destroying 100 enemies. There are six stages in total. At the end of each of them you can find a boss that you need to defeat in order to move on to the next one. Stages can be selected from the main menu screen. Much of the game's popularity stems from the simultaneous two-player co-op gameplay that is an integral feature of all games like Contra. Another aspect of the game's huge success was its motive and inspiration, because Contra remains a very popular franchise throughout the world. In fact, almost all of the game's graphics and music are reimagined variations from the Contra games. The game has earned its popularity.
