Suzanne goes through the 6 exercises for the 12 paired channels/meridians of Chinese medicine. These are what we learn when we study shiatsu. The sequence follows the 24 hour clock, beginning with the Lungs, our first breath!.. Lungs are paired with Large Intestine, the beginning and the end. Next comes Stomach and Spleen, taking in our food and nourishment. Then our Heart and Small Intestine, making our Blood and pumping it around and eliminating what we no longer need. Then onto Bladder and Kidney, next stages of purification and transformation, then Heart Protector and Triple Heater, moving this nourishment around our body...then we move and express ourselves through the Gall Bladder and Liver meridians and then it all starts again. These are exercises we can do every day to keep our energy flowing well. Great for self care.. I do variations of them every day. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and find ways to incorporate them into your practice.
