Arcade Mode skips the cutscenes totally and it has... TWO LOOPS!? It's not that horrible; The 2nd loop is strictly Super Spicy (激辛). On 1st loop if your difficulty is Super Spicy, then there is actually no difficulty boosts. For recording I think it's more interesting to showcase the mode from Normal (普通) instead. I don't know if there is any specific requirements to enter the 2nd loop like you must 1cc the 1st loop or something. By that time you will be given the prompt "Do you want to taste an even finer hell?". The playthrough is basically Chosen Difficulty → Super Spicy. If there is any good reason to tackle Arcade Mode 2-ALL, there are 2: Your resources from the 1st loop do carry over to the 2nd loop. Basically you can start the Super Spicy with much more resources, like 10 lives, for example, and some leftover magics. This is the easier "not cheating" way of tackling Super Spicy. Also the game will show a different illustration from the Story Mode bonus illustration when you clear it. I promise you (with hoarded lives) it's not hard to 2nd loop! It sure is long, though. 1 loop is around 45 minutes. Honestly, for multi-loop games ideally the duration of 1 loop is at maximum 30 minutes. More than that it's a drag, no matter how great the 1st loop is. Also all items on the stages get reset. It includes the HIDDEN 1UP ITEMS! Grab them as many as you can, AGAIN! It'll help a lot! It's only 2 shmups title this year, as far as I know, that fetaures multi-loop. I really thought since SDOJ the era of multi-loop is over. There were some exceptions like Sol Cresta and Zero Ranger, but I'm glad some of the latest brand new shmups revisit this! This was played on Nintendo Switch 2. #stg #shmup #nintendoswitch2
