The Westcoast of North America is covered in rainforests. Mountains create a perfect climate for the creation of rainforests by blocking moisture coming off the ocean and trapping it in the mountains. This creates an incredible environment which is full of various types of plant life. Alouette dam is part of the Alouette-Stave-Ruskin power generation complex. The dam creates a reservior which helps to feed Stave lake through an underground tunnel. There is a generating station at the end of the tunnel on the Stave side which generates power from Alouette Lake. Golden Ears Provincial Park is located in the Vancouver area and is a great place to go and look that the rainforest environment. It is located on the coastal mountains of British Columbia and has glacier feed water streaming into the valleys. His is a great place to explore nature!
