Cover and marinate 4 hours or overnight in the fridge.) 🔸 For Juicy Masala Base 1 onion, sliced 1 tomato, chopped (or 2 tbsp tomato purée) 2 tbsp yogurt or cream 1 tbsp oil or ghee ½ cup water (or mix of water + yogurt) 🔸 For Roasted Veg 2 carrots, cut into thick sticks 1 bell pepper, cubed 1 zucchini or 1 cup cauliflower florets 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter Pinch of salt, pepper, and red chilli flakes 🔥 Cooking Method 1. Preheat & Prepare Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F).Let the marinated brisket come to room temperature before baking.( if overnight refrigerated ) 2. Set Up the Brisket Pack 1. Line a large baking tray with foil, then lay a sheet of parchment paper on top. 2. Spread the masala base (onion, tomato, yogurt mix) in the center. 3. Place the marinated brisket on top. 4. Pour ½ cup water around it — not over it. 5. Wrap the parchment over the meat like a parcel, then seal tightly with foil. 3. Bake Low & Slow Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours at 160°C (320°F).Do not open during the first 2 hours. After 2.5 hours, check: meat should be tender and pull apart easily with a fork. If not soft enough, re-seal and bake another 30–40 minutes. 4. Make the Tikka Finish Open the foil and parchment carefully. Collect the juices in a small bowl or pan (optional to thicken later). Brush the brisket with a little oil or butter. Bake uncovered or broil at 200°C (400°F) for 10–15 minutes until the top gets lightly charred. 5. Rest & Slice Let the brisket rest 15–20 minutes, then slice against the grain for tender pieces. If you want masala gravy, simmer the collected juices on the stove for 5–10 minutes until slightly thickened. 6. Make the Sides 🥕 Roasted Vegetables Toss chopped vegetables in oil, salt, and chilli flakes. Roast on a separate tray at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes until golden. #CostwayUnboxing #IftarRecipes #DinnerIdeas #CookingWithSabeen #RamadanFeast #slowlivingcanada #positivevibes #costwaygriddle #costwayfloorlamp#costwayshoerack#costwaywoodenbench Follow me on Instagram / cookedbysabeen_ Join me on Facebook / cookedbysabeen
