In this video we will go thru replacing the water pump on a GM 1.4L Ecotec engine. These 1.4L Ecotec engines can be found in the Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Sonic, Chevrolet Trax, and Buick Encore within the model year range of the video title. The vehicle illustrated is a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Eco with the RPO LUJ/LUV style GM Ecotec 1.4L engine. The parts and procedures shown are applicable to the following Chevy Sonic, Chevy Trax, or Buick Encore vehicles with the same specific GM Ecotec 1.4L turbocharged engine. The engine attachment procedure will be very similar for the Chevy Volt, and Cadillac ELR, with the RPO LUU style GM Ecotec 1.4L non-turbocharged engine design, but using a different water pump kit part number. I have listed both water pump kits for your convenience below: The eBay and Amazon search links below are paid links, for which I may be compensated and earn a commission, if you choose to buy the parts and tools shown in this video thru them: 2011 - 2015 Chevrolet Cruze 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Limited 2012 - 2020 Chevrolet Sonic 2013 - 2021 Buick Encore 2015 - 2021 Chevrolet Trax All use the GM 55486342 / ACDelco 251-776 water pump kit: https://ebay.us/vpJmQL or https://amzn.to/3NNT5Je (this part number supersedes and obsoletes earlier pumps GM 25192709, GM 55486344, GM 55561623, GM 55579016, GM 55587345, and GM 55599494). 2011 - 2014 Chevrolet Volt 2014 - 2015 Cadillac ELR Only use the GM ACDelco Gold 252-1028 water pump: https://ebay.us/Hi7Rmx or https://amzn.to/3r6Av6d (this part number supersedes and obsoletes earlier pump kits GM 55570270, and GM 55580028).
