Disclaimer - Although this is titled "Northumberland 250" we don't actually reach the "Land of Dark Skies" until episode 2! This first episode covers the journey up to Northumberland taking in the delights of Lincoln - a chance meeting with Richard (one of our subscribers) and an expert on Lincoln Castle, who kindly took time out to talk to us and gave us some great tips on what to see. It was a pleasure to meet you and hope you have many more Goldwing adventures with Stephanie! The epic Lincoln Cathedral and quirky accommodation. Lincoln was a real surprise and well worth a visit. Day 2 saw us head further North crossing the Humber Bridge, swinging by Scarborough for some nostalgic moments for Sue, and finally on to the historic port town of Whitby where we stay in the ghostly Bagdale Hall, go on the hunt for Dracula and the "Best fish and chips in Britain".
