‘Theatre laboratory as Post-Laboratory in Non-artistic Contexts’ by Dr Tatiana Chemi Theatre Anthropology, which is the study of dramaturgical and bodily principles that are common to several cultures, looks at structures of performative organization. One of the theatrical phenomena that are more generative is Theatre Laboratory. In this session we will explore: what can we learn from theatre laboratory? All Arts-Based Education and Arts-Based Educational Research are based on this imaginative mash up: instrumental application, arts-based integration, partnerships, alliances / allyship, co-creation. We start from different premises, we think/act differently, take different journeys, engage in different encounters, (sometimes) we arrive to different conclusions. Example: what if we look at theatre laboratory as poetic communities and apply it to formal education? Tatiana Chemi, Ph.D., is Associate Professor at Aalborg University, Chair of Educational Innovation, where she works in the field of artistic learning and creative processes. She is the author of Artbased Approaches. A Practical Handbook to Creativity at Work, 2006, In the Beginning Was the Pun: Comedy and Humour in Samuel Beckett’s Theatre, 2013 and The Art of Arts Integration, 2014. She is co-author of Behind the Scenes of Artistic Creativity, 2015. In 2013, Aalborg University Press named her Author of the Year.
