Now there is a reason we add cardio into our training and it may not be the same for each individual. For some it might be for the overall health benefits it provides, others maybe using it as a tool for weight loss. For me cardio also provides a way to reduce my resting heart rate and improves my heart stroke volume. Which in turn improves athletic performance and has a positive affect on longevity. They looked at two types of cardio training, running and cycling. and both had very different results.
