A major disruption has hit the popular Indira Canteen in Bengaluru, leaving thousands of daily beneficiaries without regular meals. Reports indicate that several Indira Canteens across the city have been struggling to serve lunch and dinner due to a shortage of LPG cylinders. For the past three days, many canteens have been able to provide only breakfast to the public. Normally, each Indira Canteen prepares breakfast for around 500 to 1000 people every morning. In addition, nearly 1000 meals are served for lunch and another 1000 for dinner. However, the lack of LPG cylinders has forced staff to temporarily stop cooking full meals. Staff members revealed that without cooking gas, preparing lunch and dinner has become impossible. In some locations, workers managed to serve Bisi Bele Bath instead of regular meals as an emergency arrangement. Several areas in Bengaluru are reportedly affected by this situation. Canteens in Aramane Nagar, Mattikere, Malleswaram, Raj Mahal area, Subramanyanagar, Gayatrinagar, KC General Hospital area, Majestic, Subhash Nagar, Chikkapete and Binnipete are among those facing disruptions. ಗ್ಯಾಸ್ ಸಿಲಿಂಡರ್ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್‌ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಊಟ ನೀಡುವುದನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಕಾಲಿಕವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಬಡವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾದ ಈ ಕ್ಯಾಂಟೀನ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನರು ಪ್ರತಿದಿನ ಆಹಾರ ಸೇವಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
