This video features New York, Susquehanna & Western's Utica NY local on Dec 29, 2022. My dog, Witold, sat this one out. He'll be back soon enough, though. The opening scenes are in the Utica yard. Next the short freight is observed heading south on Utica's Schuyler Street to customers in nearby New Hartford and New York Mills. The next sequences are on former West Shore and New York, Ontario & Western tracks, both off the Susquehanna's Utica Main. CORRECTION: In my commentary, I mentioned that O&W milepost 272 signified 272 miles from Hoboken NJ. In fact, 272 references 272 miles to NY City via Weehawken NJ. The video concludes with a look at the freight's northbound run on Schuyler Street.
