The sun is climbing, the sea is shimmering, and the wind carries that unmistakable Atlantic bite. This is a walk that feels like standing at the edge of the world—where ancient rocks meet endless sea. 🕰️ Highlights, History & Local Lore Beginning at Lizard Point, the southernmost tip of mainland Britain, the landscape is instantly arresting—bold, rugged, and windswept. Here, seabirds glide in the updrafts and the Lizard Lighthouse stands as a sentinel to centuries of maritime peril and rescue. This area has seen countless shipwrecks and heroic rescues, its waters notoriously unpredictable and its cliffs steeped in nautical lore. The path heads north along the South West Coast Path, with crumbling cliffs, coastal heath, and sweeping ocean views unfolding with every step. The trail skirts above hidden coves and jagged inlets, where the wind whistles through narrow gaps and the sea crashes far below.
