Akhil Konduri is a student at the American International School of Kuwait in Kuwait. He has been actively involved in community initiatives, technology, and the arts. As part of the UN Young Ambassadors Internship, he explored diplomacy through work on sustainability-focused initiatives in Kuwait. Besides that,he developed a game project using Pygame and has extensive experience in Indian classical music, holding a senior diploma in tabla from Bir Tikendrajit University and performing at numerous public events. Akhil is also a member of the National Honor Society and has represented his school in mathematics competitions, including the GUST Math Competition and the CREST Olympiad. At the CCIR Academy, Akhil’s research paper, Optimising National Energy Mixes Using Genetic Algorithms, examines how genetic algorithms can be used to identify efficient combinations of energy sources at a national level. The study focuses on balancing cost, sustainability, and reliability, offering insights that can support informed energy policy decisions and long-term planning. He also shared reflections on his research journey in a CCIR Academy Student Spotlight episode, discussing the mentorship he received and the key insights gained through the process.
