Thank you to everyone who let me know that I had accidentally uploaded last week's video. I’m so sorry for the mistake, and I truly appreciate your kindness and attention. Here is the correct new video for this week — thank you always for your support and warm comments🙏 On a quiet Friday night, while the world laughs and says “cheers,” I spent the evening cooking alone— to calm my heart and remind myself that being alone can be gentle too. Tonight’s dinner: homemade karaage (Japanese fried chicken), crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a side of fresh salad and nukazuke—Japanese rice bran pickles. Sometimes, the simple act of cooking can heal what words can’t. As the oil sizzled, my thoughts slowly melted away. And by the time I took my first bite, the heaviness in my heart felt a little lighter. If you’re watching this alone tonight, let’s raise a glass together— to the future versions of ourselves. 🌙 Thank you for watching. Please subscribe and join me again for another quiet meal and gentle evening. ーーー 🍗 Japanese Fried Chicken (Karaage) Recipe Serves: 2–3 people Ingredients 500g (1.1 lb) boneless chicken thighs [A] Marinade 1 tsp soy sauce 1 tsp sake (or dry white wine) A pinch of salt 1 tsp grated garlic 1 tsp grated ginger 1 egg 4 tbsp all-purpose flour 4 tbsp potato starch (or cornstarch) Instructions Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces. Marinate in ingredients [A] for about 10 minutes. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and coat the chicken evenly. In a plastic bag, mix flour and potato starch. Add the chicken and shake well until every piece is coated. Heat a generous amount of oil in a pot to about 160°C (320°F). Add the chicken, then slowly raise the temperature and fry for around 5 minutes, until golden and crispy. ーーー #japanvlog #quieteveningvibes #solocooking #karaage #japanesehomecooking #healingvlog #slowlife #mindfulmoments #comfortfood ーーー ◆For any business enquiries please contact us at [email protected] Crea LLC
