Today, I'm sharing my foolproof, homestyle recipe for Chicken Jalfrezi – a vibrant, spicy, and tangy curry that's a favorite in both Indian and Pakistani households. Hit the bell icon so you never miss an update. INGREDIENTS: Boneless Chicken 500 gm One average onion, cut in petals. Green, red and yellow bell pepper, cut into cubes. Cooking Oil 50 ml Powdered Spices: Coriander powder 2 tbsp, Red Chili Powder 1 tsp, Turmeric powder ½ tsp, Kashmiri Red Mirch 1 tsp, Cumin powder ½ tsp. Mix all these powders in some water and make in to a thin paste. One average chopped onion 100 gm Tomato Puree 200 gm Ginger paste and Garlic paste 1 tbsp each Salt 1 tsp, adjust as per taste White pepper powder ½ tsp. Chopped Cilantro, green chilies and ginger Juliennes for garnishing. Procedure: Place a Karahi over flame, add 30 ml cooking oil and lightly Sautee onion petals, green, red and yellow bell pepper cubes. It will take 3-5 minutes. These should remain crispy. Remove it in a plate and keep aside. In the same Karahi, add 50 ml Oil, add chopped onion. Fry it till light brown. Add Boneless Chicken, salt and ginger, garlic paste and roast for 5 minutes. Now add Powdered masala paste and fry for 2-3 minutes till oil separates from spices. Add Tomato Puree, mix it. Cover it and simmer for 15 minutes. Keep on stirring in the meanwhile so that it does not stick up to bottom. Do not add water. After 15 minutes add sautéed Bell peppers and onions. Add white pepper powder. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Garnish & Serve: Turn off the heat. Garnish generously with fresh coriander, green chilies and ginger Juliennes.
