Homemade Granola 6 cups oats (NOT Instant) 2 cups Pecans (or whatever nut you like) 3 TBLS Flax seeds 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup packed brown sugar 1 TBLS salt 2 tsp Cinnamon 1 tsp Nutmeg ¾ cup Olive Oil ½ cup water 3/4 cup pure maple syrup (may substitute with honey) ¼ C Honey (Yep, I use this also lol) 1 cup flaked coconut (I used sweetened) INSTRUCTIONS Preheat the oven to 300℉. Line a baking pan with parchment paper. In a very large bowl, combine the oats, pecans, flaxseed, flour, brown sugar, salt, and coconut. Then add in the oil, maple syrup, and water. Stir until the dry ingredients are completely moistened. Spread the mixture over the prepared baking sheet. Press the mixture into a baking sheet. (This will help the pieces bind.) Bake for 20 minutes, and then flip in large sections with a spatula. And bake 20 minutes more, flipping every 20 minutes, or until dried out and lightly golden. (Helpful hints: If you’re not interested in chunks, stir and break up the mixture as you go. If you want bigger chunks, flip in large sections. You can break them into smaller pieces later, if desired. Always rotate the baking sheets between every flip. Note that the granola will likely take longer to dry out in this case, and you may need to reduce the oven temperature by 25 degrees if the edges begin to brown too much.) Once the granola is dry, remove from the oven and do not stir again until completely cooled. #Granola, #Homemadegranola, #Starrstylisthomestead, #Junkfood, #fastandeasy, #sides, #Oatmeal, #granolarecipe,
