It stands as one of the few old-style markets in Chongqing's main urban area that still retains a strong sense of everyday life. Each dawn, crowds gather here as locals come to stock up on daily ingredients. The market features designated areas for temporary stalls. These elderly vegetable sellers journey from the suburbs each dawn, carrying baskets on their backs and taking the subway specifically for this market.
