Lee Chambers was a highly regarded Tech CEO. Then he lost the ability to walk. It started a journey to explore the man that he was, without many of the things he valued. This TEDx talk showcases what he has found in the 10 years since becoming ill, and the role that male allyship and gender equality have played within this. He is a business psychologist and founder of Male Allies UK, an organisation that engages men in inclusion, builds the skills of allyship and works with boys in education. He has been featured on the Startups 100 Index, has received a Great British Entrepreneur Award, and sits on the board of CMI Women. In 2024, he received the Freedom of the City of London for services to equality in business. He is a Kavli Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and a 2023 UN Women Changemaker.
