This evening restorative yoga routine is designed for recovery after a long, stressful, or physically exhausting day. Movement and transitions are intentionally slow, giving the body and nervous system time to settle down and relax. We focus on breathing throughout the practice, especially allowing the body to soften and relax on the exhale. Each position can be held or gently explored with small movements depending on how you feel in the moment. There is no right way to do this routine. Staying still or moving slowly are both valid options. This is a routine meant for turning the focus inward, letting go of tension, and giving the body permission to rest. Recovery, calm, and self regulation are the goals.
