Summer Hampton Railway 2020 - type 4 & type 5 diesel action - Wednesday 20th May 2020

More sunshine and more train time in the garden! This video focuses on 2 train formations and 4 locos. The first train formation is my shortened version of 1V32 / 1S19 - the overnight Glasgow and Edinburgh to Bristol service. A mix of 12 mk1, mk2 & mk3 vehicles is quite a lug for a OO diesel. 45128 - a hybrid Replica and Bachmann model - and 47550 feature on this train. The second train is my set of MGR wagons - only 18, but again, quite a weight - which represents a loaded train of coal heading to Westbury Cement works. 58037 and 56084 feature on this working. I'm pleased to say, both sets of stock ran around the new circuit without any hitches (apart from slightly longer magnetic couplings needed on the vehicles adjacent to the Mk3 sleepers). With a shorter length circuit, I am still finding all my filming spots - a couple of new ones appear in this film. The next video will focus on English Electric locos and some more stock that hasnt yet appeared in this years films. Until then, thanks for watching and I hope you have enjoyed this film.
