Have you ever wondered how tissues are made? In today’s video, we’re breaking down the entire process from raw materials to the final soft, fluffy tissues we use every day. It’s a surprisingly fascinating journey, and we’re walking through each step in a clear and easy way. The process begins with the raw material, which is usually wood pulp or recycled paper. This pulp goes through an intensive cleaning stage to remove ink, dust, and any other impurities. After cleaning, the pulp is mixed with plenty of water to create a smooth, watery mixture called “slurry.” Next comes sheet formation. This slurry is poured onto a fast-moving mesh belt. As the belt moves, water drains out, and a very thin layer of paper begins to form. This layer then passes through large heated rollers that remove more water, giving the sheet a soft, dry, and even texture. This is where the tissue’s thin and delicate feel is created. After that, the sheet enters the embossing stage. This is where tissues get their texture, tiny patterns, and extra softness. Embossing not only makes tissues look nicer but also increases their absorbency. Those little designs you see on tissue sheets aren’t just decoration — they help the tissue soak up liquid better. Once the sheet is ready, it’s rolled into huge jumbo rolls. These giant rolls are then sent to cutting machines that slice them into smaller rolls or packs, depending on the product. After cutting, the tissues go through folding, packaging, and sealing, turning them into the convenient tissue boxes or packets we purchase from the store. In this video, we’ll explore each stage with visuals and clear explanations. If you enjoy learning how everyday items are made or love behind-the-scenes processes, you’re going to enjoy this breakdown
