“Love Letters In The Sand" by Ted Black and His Orchestra 1931 Vocalist: Tom Brown Victor 22799-A This song is something I remember from when I was quite young. In 1957 Pat Boone recorded this song and our family had the 78 rpm record of his recording in the early 1960s. Later I somehow ended up with the 45 rpm version of Pat Boone’s song. At that time I had no idea the song had originally been recorded in 1931. The record was a big hit for Ted Black and his Orchestra. And, over the decades it was recorded many times by many artists. I feel lucky to have transferred both sides of this record because it has about a 2 inch crack from the outside towards the center.
