Went on an Alaskan Cruise and as one of the shore excursions took a helicopter to the Mendenhall Glacier for a 2 hr hike. It is hands down one of the most aw inspiring experiences in my life. The video does not do it justice. The ice folds you see outside the window on landing are each 3 to 5 stories in height. That is each fold not total height. We were hiking what looked like the smooth area in the fly over. There are a few pictures of the hike in the credits at the end. Tour was on Princess Cruises and was by NorthStar Trekking.
