Nigeria is one of the top ten Raw Cashew Nut (RCN) producing countries in the world, with a production figure of approximately 150,000 metric tonnes per annum. However, despite being one of the world’s largest producers of cashew nuts, the bulk of Nigeria’s cashew exports are unprocessed due to the lack of sufficient processing facilities in the country, causing an economic shortfall in the industry. This is a challenge Farmforte is now actively working to change. Farmforte continues to invest in value-addition and value chain development in Nigeria. Our local cashew processing line has 20T/day capacity and is projected to produce 5,000 tonnes annually. On top of adding value to the local cashew chain, we are creating jobs and wealth for the communities in Nigeria.
