Check out Part1➡️ • Mini Restoration/Refresh of my Nissan 350z... In this video, the Nissan 350Z mini restoration reaches its final stage. The Z33 is fully completed and prepared for the road. While Part 1 focused primarily on the suspension and rust repairs, this final episode covers the W-brace, various service tasks, the interior, and the full exterior detailing. I begin by removing the W-brace, whose bolts were extremely seized, two of them even snapped off. After that, I thoroughly clean all suspension components, remove the broken bolts, re-cut the threads, and treat the parts with rust converter. While everything is drying, I clean the air filter and change the engine oil, transmission oil, and differential oil. Once the rust converter has cured, I protect all suspension components with rust-proof paint and seal every cavity, including the rocker panel corners I welded in Part 1. Next, I install the new W-brace.To give the car a wider stance, I also install 20 mm wheel spacers. Since I wanted to know how much lighter the OEM Rays wheels are compared to the ones the car came with, I weighed all of them. The weight savings were surprisingly significant. Inside the car, the next big step begins. I install a new head unit with hands-free calling, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. I also add a reverse camera and reassemble everything cleanly afterward. Then I remove the rear wiper and washer nozzle for a cleaner look. The seats are taken out as well, and to access an ecu, I remove the subwoofer. It had an intermittent issue caused by a faulty relay inside the ecu. So I open the unit, solder in a new relay, and reassemble everything. After that, I deep-clean the entire interior. The leather seats also receive a thorough cleaning followed by a protective treatment. Once the seats are reinstalled, I swap the shift knob for a new Nismo one. To finish the project, I complete a full exterior detail. I wash the car thoroughly, clay the paint, and fill two holes in the rear bumper that were left from a previous license plate holder. The headlights only needed a light polish with a finishing compound, followed by a UV-protective coating. All trim and rubber seals are taped off to avoid damage during polishing. I then polish the entire car in three stages: Cut, Medium, and Finish. Stone chips are touched up with fresh paint, and finally, the 350Z receives a high-quality ceramic coating. With that, the Nissan 350Z is fully restored and ready for many new miles on the road.
