Over the course of my 14 years of doing Jiu Jitsu, I've had my fair share of injuries but the worst of which has been my neck injury. Staying on the mats is a priority of mine because Jiu Jitsu, whether in the form of training, teaching, competing or spectating brings an enormous amount of joy to my life. Through trial and error, I've tried or experimented with plenty of different methods and exercises to strengthen my neck. I've spent money on all sorts of tools and gadgets trying to find just the right one to solve all of my neck issues. What I've found is that a consistent regimen with simple tools and equipment is the key for me personally. I've tried the expensive equipment like the Iron Neck and didn't find it to be as beneficial as a cheaper alternative such as a yoga band or fitness bands. My routine is fairly simple and typically takes me around 15 minutes to get through. I do a variety of exercises and holds for different amounts of times and repetitions. I hope you enjoy this video!
