Also share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below. _________________________________________ INGREDIENTS AND INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PAPA A LA HUANCAINA RECIPE My grandma's recipe 3-4 Fresh Yellow Peppers (Aji Amarillo in Spanish). 1 Big Onion 2-3 Cloves of Garlic 250g Queso Fresco or 100g of almonds in place of cheese and milk Milk or water (as needed) 1 pack of saltine crackers (approximation) 1. Put washed potatoes in a pot full of water and boil them for about 20 minutes. 2. Roughly chop your peppers, onion and garlic. Remove the insides of the peppers if you want it to be the least amount of spicy as possible. 3. Heat up a pan with a bit of oil and sauté your veggies (Takes about 5 minutes if on high heat). 4. Add cheese, milk and sautéed veggies to your blender. Blend and add salt to taste. If you're not using cheese and milk, blend the almonds with water and then add the sautéed veggies. 5. Slice your cooked potatoes up and pour sauce over them. Enjoy! 6.
