As gay men, many of us live our lives as if everything is perfect… at least on the surface. We grew up with a masculinity template that told us it’s “weak” to talk about our emotions, admit our flaws, or ask for help when we need it… And on top of that, we carry our own 'gay stuff' to deal with — shame, rejection, loneliness, and the constant search for validation and belonging that shaped our entire lives. Not looking at what needs to be healed keeps us stuck. Prolongs our suffering. Blocks our abundance. I know you’ve been numbing your pain for a long time, hoping it would disappear with time, work, achievements, or nights out. I get it… I’ve done that too! But the truth is: facing our wounds head-on is the only path to the life you deserve. In this video, I talk about why asking for help is not a weakness — it’s a sign of maturity, self-awareness, and what actually leads to real growth. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to do everything alone. 🌈 Subscribe for weekly videos on personal growth, healing, self-worth, and life transformation for gay men: / @thrivewithpride With love, Diego Goulart 🤍💙 ____________ CHAPTERS 00:00 - Intro 02:42 - What our gay masculinity template teaches us about emotions 04:06 - Admitting we need help can feel like a loss 05:40 - Personal share 07:13 - Healing is not linear 10:49 - It's a very humbling experience to admit our weaknesses #gaymen #gayhealing #personalgrowth #HealingJourney #lgbtqmentalhealth #gaymentalhealth #lgbtqsupport #thrivewithpride #visibility #fearofrejection #innerwork #selfworth #lgbtqgrowth #masculinity
