~ The Hermit ~ I live to the design of my pre-ordained destiny, to stay true and loyal to my capricious heart – to death do us part, as though bonded by wedded matrimony. When our maker, in the wake of her Godly dream, drew so detailed our Earthly design, she made everyone of our kind, peerless, as unique as the ridges that form mountain peaks, or the snowflakes that fall from bleak winter skies. To align ones mind to the collective view, is to bypass natural thought. It is to follow the lead of a master puppeteer, where each pulled string is a rule so stringently followed. Or, simply, a self-administered poison, injected into our spirit to kill the beauty of our unique making. This is why I so readily shy away from society and its corruptible components, the people. it is the people that beastify the world. To spend my days estranged from the beastly, is to absorb myself in all that is beautiful, for it is Nature that is the bearer of such wonder. Therefore, do not eye my rags with sympathy. Do not scrutinise my unkempt beard and label me destitute - I am wealthy beyond our wildest dreams. There is not a king or queen in extravagant gloating, who can claim to be richer than I. My heart is unscathed by Society's depiction, and culling of beauty. It sings its contentment for this , a joyous tune reverberating through my body, Rippling my lips to form this smile that you see. Conformity is nothing more than a childish comfort, a blanket thrown over the Fearful, by the Fearful to alienate the Different. Or, on occasion, playing the role of placebo, taken to ease Society's xenophobic pain. We should never have been taught to fear the unknown - only to embrace it. It is in the darkness of the unknown where the light of discovery shines brightest. Dangers may lurk in the shadows, but those dangers are only posed by creatures ruled by Fear.
