Von hier hat man einen tollen Blick auf die andere Rheinseite mit der Festung Ehrenbreitstein. Die Tour endet am Deutschen Eck mit dem imposanten Kaiser-Wilhelm-Denkmal. Hier mündet die Mosel in den Rhein. Das alles bei angenehmer Sonnenuntergangs-Atmosphäre. Koblenz ist, wie Köln, vor etwa 2000 Jahre von den Römern gegründet worden. Sie hat ca. 115.000 Einwohnern und liegt im Bundesland Rheinland-Pfalz. Der Name Koblenz leitet sich ursprünglich vom lateinischen "Confluentes" (apud bzw. ad confluentes flumines = "bei den zusammenfließenden Flüssen") ab und bezog sich auf das römische Kastell am Zusammenfluss von Rhein und Mosel.
