I walked away from a well-paid corporate job 10 years ago. Since then, photography paid the bills. Video told other people’s stories. But nothing forced me to confront myself as deeply as selling what I create with my hands. This new series—The Search for Answers—is the rawest thing I’ve released. Four intuitive abstracts, each mapping a lifelong question: What is my purpose? How do I experience peace? How can I be truly happy? Can I ever experience real love? These canvases channel the four desires that drive every decision we make—especially for those of us who appear to “have it all” yet quietly keep searching. Many moons ago in 2014 I was an engineer in the oil and gas industry… and I was depressed and wildly unfulfilled. So I eventually mustered up the courage to quit, sell my belonging, and take a nice little eat/pray/love trip galavanting around South America for a year. After that in 2017, I landed in Miami and experimented my way into becoming a full time photographer and videographer. What a turn of events. In 2019, I started painting again after having shut down my art-making side for most of my 20’s - because they said you couldn’t make money as an artist. Growing up, I was always making art. In 2020, I sold my first painting thanks to covid (wow). For the last few years, it’s been quite the journey, and here we are, a full time professional artist, just like I always wanted as a kid.
