When the space says no can you feel it? This month’s Word of da Month is Consent — and it moved beyond conversation into atmosphere. Sometimes no is not spoken. It’s felt. In this video, I explore how consent shows up in spaces — the tension in a room, the shift in energy when something is not aligned. Not every no is verbal. Sometimes the space says no before a person does. Consent required me to slow down… To stop softening my no. To let my yes be intentional. To respect silence. To feel when something wasn’t agreed upon — even if it wasn’t said. This month’s bespoke diptych was created across two Flo Sessions in different locations in Hollywood, Florida, and stretched across two canvases as one. One city. One word. Two spaces.
