New River Gorge is this unassuming, quiet park in West Virginia. Even we sometimes lower our expectations before we go. But then we hike around the corner and find hidden waterfalls or drive along a road with dramatic clouds wafting through the gorge. It's a beautiful place, even if it is still getting its legs underneath it as a National Park. On this particular trip, we were mostly in the area for work and managed to sneak in just four smaller day hikes ranging from about a mile at Sandstone Falls and about seven miles along the Kaymoor Trail. ***************************************************************************************************** We are Kelly & Michelle of Drive Hike Repeat. A few years ago we decided to try to hike every mile of every trail in every National Park. There are about 9300 miles of trail in the current 63 National Parks and we are over 47% done. Thanks for joining on our adventure of a lifetime. We're here to have fun so if you have something negative to say, please just move on. If you're interested in supporting our journey, the easiest (and free!) thing you can do is drop a like on this video and subscribe to our channel. The next easiest (and still free) things you can is find us on other places like Instagram and Facebook. Or tell your friends about us. If you'd like to support us financially, you can peruse Kelly's prints for sale at https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/k... Our journey is financially self-supported with no sponsors so we appreciate anything you can do to be a part of our support network!
