I made this to show how I replaced the thick moulded spokes in the wheels of the 1:12 scale Hasegawa Suzuki GT380 kit. I found this to be one of the more challenging things I've done on a model and of course if it does go wrong its irreversible! I would also like to say that I largely made this up as I went along and I'm sure there are other and potentially better ways of doing it. So with that in mind, I hope you find this useful and good luck. Materials used were Albion Alloys 0.7mm aluminium tube for the nipples and Albion Alloys 0.33mm nickel silver wire for the spokes. For 1:12 scale this works out to 8.4mm and 4mm respectively, which seemed about right. In case its not obvious, the bike in the first picture is full size!
