My Latest Make - New Look 6682 - December 2021

My latest dressmaking project is up this week - New Look 6682 in our beautifully drapey, floaty 100% viscose Morracain crepe fabric. I absolutely loved making this dress and think the sewing pattern is a real keeper. It has options for two necklines - I chose the pleated turtleneck, which fastens with two buttons and loops at the back, gathers from the waist on the bodice at the front and back to give a gentle blouson effect to the bodice and a simple A-line skirt. I chose the Bishop sleeves with a cuff and there is also an option for short, flutter sleeves. The skirt falls so perfectly in this fabric, although I did let it hang for several days before shortening and shortened considerably so I could wear with black tights in winter. I would definitely make it again in the longer length for spring/summer because it just looked so elegant in this style of fabric, but would need to be worn with bare legs in my opinion.
