Ever feel like there’s nothing to photograph? On this random 5 mile walk, I challenged myself to make 10 photos — even though the light wasn’t great, the location wasn’t inspiring, and none of the images were “portfolio worthy.” The rules were simple: I had to find 10 different scenes or subjects, and I could only choose one photo per scene. This video isn’t about creating perfect images. It’s about showing up with your camera anyway. If you’ve been waiting for better light, better locations, or better inspiration… this is your sign to stop waiting and start shooting. Sometimes the most important thing you can do for your photography is simply to go out and make photos — especially when it feels pointless. I hope this encourages you to grab your camera and head out, even when it feels like there’s nothing to shoot.
