Neck and shoulder tension often builds from sitting, stress, screen time, and holding the shoulders slightly lifted throughout the day. Over time, tight chest muscles and a stiff upper back can pull the head forward and strain the neck. This 8-minute follow-along stretch routine is done entirely on the floor for a supported, calming experience. It combines gentle dynamic mobility with longer static stretches to help open the chest, release tight shoulders, and ease neck tension. In this routine, you’ll: • Open tight chest and shoulder muscles • Release upper traps and levator scapulae • Improve upper back mobility • Reduce stiffness from sitting and screens • Calm the nervous system The movements are slow and controlled — focused on opening and releasing rather than forcing deep range.
