This short 5-minute practice is a simple way to pause, bring awareness back to the body, and release tension from head to toe. By slowly moving attention through different areas of the body and softening them with the breath, we give the body, mind, and nervous system a chance to reset. You can return to this practice anytime during the day. When you feel overwhelmed, mentally busy, physically tight, or simply in need of a moment to check in with yourself this is a practice that you can return to as many times as possible. Sometimes self-care is simply taking a few minutes to notice what the body is holding and allowing it to soften.
