9月27日是“世界旅游日”，是由世界旅游组织确定的旅游工作者和旅游者的节日。2024年世界旅游日的主题是：“旅游与和平”。 1970年9月27日，国际官方旅游联盟在墨西哥城举行的特别代表大会上通过了世界旅游组织章程。为纪念这个日子，1979年9月世界旅游组织第三次代表大会正式把9月27日定为世界旅游日。 为普及旅游理念，阐明旅游的作用和意义，促进世界旅游业的发展，世界旅游组织从1980年起每年都为世界旅游日确定一个主题，各国旅游组织根据每年主题和要求开展活动。中国于1983年正式成为世界旅游组织成员。 September 27 is the World Tourism Day，and the 2024 theme is “Tourism and Peace”. Tourism, often highlighted for its role in economic development, also plays a significant role in fostering peace. Countries with a more open and sustainable tourism sector tend to be more peaceful. As one of the world’s most important economic sectors, tourism can be perceived as the epitome of intercultural dialogue; it allows meeting the "other", learning about different cultures, hearing foreign languages, tasting exotic flavors, bonding with other human beings, and building tolerance. In essence, it is a mind-broadening educational and spiritual experience. World Tourism Day 2024, under the theme "Tourism and Peace", wants to highlight the vital role of this sector in fostering peace and understanding between nations and cultures and in supporting reconciliation processes.
