The full video👉   • My first experience at The Nene Valley Rai...   To celebrate the restoration of Orten Mere Signalbox and Thomas the tank engine at the Nene Valley Railway. I have put together a little video from last year's footage which tells the story of why the Thomas at NVR is an original. At the time of filming I embarked on a shed tour at Wansford, where Thomas was undergoing work to gain her next 10yr boiler certificate. The Signalbox was burned down by vandals and another young lad raised a tonne of money to restore the signal box. Now both these iconic railway artifacts will be stars of the show for the Orton Mere grand opening on 9th March 2024. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers that make this railway a grand one indeed.
